Where are you from?

I used to tell my parents that I was adopted, and my birth parents were somewhere back in my home country, the USA! Haha. But the fact is I was born in Moonee Ponds and been a Melbourne boy ever since.

What inspires you?

I am inspired by the opportunities to think conceptually and create ideas into existence. It takes it to a whole other level for me when I get to share in that process with other like-minded people.

Favourite movie?

White Men Can’t Jump. There are definitely a lot of contenders, but this movie has been a no-brainer for me since I can remember..

Favourite album cover?

Coop original The Jock

MXPX – Life in General (Artwork by Coop)

I was REALLY into comic books and punk rock when I was in my 20’s, so this album cover really did it for me. True story… I was in Sydney with a friend to see MXPX play that night and we spontaneously came across the band doing a meet and greet at Universal Studios. So my friend and I rushed down to see them. On the way I realised that I didn’t have any merchandise with me to get the bands signatures. So we stopped by a record store and I used my ‘five finger discount’ to get my hands on this CD. I got their signatures, we saw them play that night and I felt very punk rock!

Favourite holiday destination?

Holidays? I wish! I’ve enjoyed some great adventures over the years. Nowadays we are knuckling down and keeping the purse strings tight. The list of places I want to go to is overwhelming.

What 6 people, living or dead, would you invite to a dinner party if you could?

Jesus Christ, Friedrich Nietzsche, Zach de la Rocha, Bill Watterson, Banksy and Rick Rubin.

Coffee or Tea?

Coffee. But I see more future in my tea.

What are you most passionate about outside work?

Much the same as work passions. And I would add watching / playing basketball, music and the arts, fashion / trends and cultural shifts, philosophy, as well as an interest in social justice.
